Alex Gaddis

Alex Gaddis is Counsel to the Firm at Stoll Keenon Ogden and works out of the Jeffersonville office. Before joining SKO, Alex practiced at Applegate Fifer Pulliam, which SKO acquired in 2024.
While at AFP, Alex represented clients in land use, zoning, eminent domain, and transactional real estate matters. He also advised municipal clients on governance, code enforcement, and open records compliance. Additionally, Alex has performed hundreds of real estate closings in Kentucky and Indiana, advising clients on matters of title and insurance.
Throughout his career, Alex has solved complex issues related to real estate property records and has drafted contracts, deeds, easements, and other legal documents affecting real estate interests. He has served as Deputy General Counsel for the Kentucky Real Estate Authority and General Counsel for the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Funding Commission. Additionally, as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Jefferson and Bullitt counties in Kentucky, Alex tried 23 jury trials.
Real Estate: Alex and the Real Estate practice team provide comprehensive legal assistance to clients in nearly all aspects of real estate planning. The team’s services cover zoning, rezoning, planning, variances, conditional uses, subdivisions, and annexation. They handle acquisition, development, and disposition, as well as office, retail, warehouse, and industrial leasing for landlords and tenants. The team represents lenders and borrowers in financing real estate transactions and manages shopping centers, offices, industrial parks, and planned unit developments. They also offer local counsel assistance in multi-state transactions, construction lending documentation, construction contracts, title examinations, and title insurance. Additionally, they handle real estate and commercial loan workouts, eminent domain representation, and state and local financial incentives for business expansions and developments.
